The Trumbull New Theater presents the show "Deer Camp" weekends from Friday, May 1 through Sunday, May 17 with Friday and Saturday shows at 7:30pm and Sunday matinees at 3:00pm. The theater is located at 5883 Youngstown Warren Rd in Niles. "Deer Camp" is a comedy follows four friends on their annual deer hunting trip, it takes a turn when their wives give them an ultimatum. The Millennial Theater Company presents: Mean Girls The Musical! weekends from Friday, April 17 through Sunday, April 26 at the Youngstown Playhouse with Friday and Saturday shows at 7:30pm and Sunday matinees at 2:30pm. See new student Cady Heron take on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. The Trumbull Art Gallery at 158 N Park Ave in Warren presents the exhibition, "NO GUARANTEES" on display from Saturday, April 18, through Friday May 29. The gallery is open Thursday and Fridays from 12-4pm and Saturdays from 11am-3pm. "NO GUARANTEES," is an exhibition of 19 women artists working and living in the Mahoning Valley, and includes a wide range of media, including painting, photography, printmaking, drawing, mixed media, ceramics, fiber, and quiltmaking. This exhibition is free and open to the public.
There will be an opening reception, Saturday, April 18 from 6-8pm.

The Sixth Annual Youngstown May Day Festival will be Friday May 1 through Sunday May 3 from 12-6pm at the Calvin Center at 755 Mahoning Ave for a fun, free celebration of labor, Beltane, climate justice, human rights, and community in the Valley. The festival is a family friendly place for great food, crafts, a May pole dance, workshops, games, and more.

The Youngstown Press Club will observe World Press Freedom Day on Sunday, May 3 by reading the names of 129 journalists killed last year while practicing their profession at noon at the Butler Institute of American Art. The number of journalists killed in 2025 was the highest since the Committee to Protect Journalists began tracking these numbers in 1992.The event is free and open to the public.
The Butler Institute of American Art presents "Sensory Sundays" on the first Sunday of every month through November. The Butler will open 1 hour prior to typical hours, and will provide options for individuals including fidget toys, as well as a sensory guide and what to expect while visiting.
