The YSU Ward Beecher Planetarium presents the program, "Passport to the Universe" Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm through Saturday, February 28th. Fly beneath the rings of Saturn, into the heart of the Orion Nebula, and out into the vastness of space to experience stunning cosmic destinations as never before possible. All planetarium shows are free with seating being first come, first served.

The Butler Institute of American Art, present the 86th Area Artist Annual, on display through Sunday, February 22nd. This juried exhibition includes selected original artworks in all media created and submitted by artists residing within a 75-mile radius of the Butler. The exhibition is free and open to the public. YSU's Judith Rae Solomon Gallery in Bliss Hall presents an exhibition by artist Davon Brantley throughout February titled "Wrinkles in the Smile of Divinity." Influenced by Dante's Divine Comedy, Brantley presents a trilogy of works that navigate the profound territories of Hell, Purgatory and Divinity as metaphors for the artist's personal journey. The museum is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm.
The Youngstown Historical Center for Industry and Labor presents a photography exhibition by Richard Hahn titled Grit/Glow, opening Thursday, July 10, and on display through February. Grit/Glow juxtaposes the warmth of orange skies with the stark realities of industry, illustrating the paradox of beauty and hardship. The museum is open Wednesdays through Fridays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and on Saturdays from Noon to 4:00 pm.

The McDonough Museum of Art will open 2026 with three exhibitions. Misty Gamble's "Of Flesh and The Feminine", Hannah Parrett's "I Do Not Always Understand, But I Feel Desire" and "From WOMAN 19" curated by Mary Urbas, on display through Saturday, February 28. The museum is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11am-4pm. A closing reception for all the exhibitions will be held 2-4pm on February 28.
The Youngstown Skatepark Association presents a free community pop-up skatepark on Saturday February 21 at Penguin City Brewing. The event begins with a 14 and under youth session from 12:00pm to 4:00pm followed by an all-ages session from 5:00 to 8:00pm.
