The YSU Ward Beecher Planetarium presents the program, "One World, One Sky" every Saturday in March at 2:00pm. Big Bird, Elmo, and Hu Hu Zhu take viewers on an exciting discovery of the Sun, Moon, and stars. They learn about the Big Dipper and the North Star and take an imaginary trip to the Moon. All planetarium shows are free with seating being first come, first served.
The Trumbull New Theater presents the show "Deer Camp" weekends from Friday, May 1 through Sunday, May 17 with Friday and Saturday shows at 7:30pm and Sunday matinees at 3:00pm. The theater is located at 5883 Youngstown Warren Rd in Niles. "Deer Camp" is a comedy follows four friends on their annual deer hunting trip, it takes a turn when their wives give them an ultimatum. This free event is for adults 55+ who are interested in learning more about the art in our museum. The Youngstown Playhouse presents "Urinetown" weekends from Friday, May 29 through Sunday, June 7 with Friday and Saturday performances at 7:30pm and Sunday matinees at 2:30pm. Set in a dystopian future where a severe water shortage has outlawed private bathrooms. Urinetown follows ordinary citizens forced to pay to use corporately controlled public toilets until decades later they rise up to challenge an oppressive system. Tickets at youngstownplayhouse.org.
