The Mahoning Valley Historical Society presents its 17th-Annual Memories of Christmas Past Exhibit, at Arms Family Museum, on Wick Avenue, in Youngstown, from Monday, November 17 through Wednesday, December 31, Noon - 4 pm, everyday except Mondays and national holidays. The Rust Belt Theater presents How the Drag Queen Stole Christmas, weekends from December Friday, December 5 - Sunday, December 14, with evening performances at 8:00 pm and the Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm, at the Youngstown Playhouse, on Mahoning Avenue, in Youngstown. This is an off-the-wall retelling of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, featuring Starrlet O’Hara, a tyrant drag queen who is visited by three ghostly divas on Christmas Eve. The Youngstown Historical Center for Industry and Labor presents a photography exhibition by Richard Hahn titled Grit/Glow, opening Thursday, July 10, and on display through February. Grit/Glow juxtaposes the warmth of orange skies with the stark realities of industry, illustrating the paradox of beauty and hardship. The museum is open Wednesdays through Fridays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and on Saturdays from Noon to 4:00 pm.
